Snow Removal: Plowing will commence when three or more inches have fallen. Please park your vehicle in driveways when possible, or move vehicles when streets are being cleared.
Trash & Recycling containers should NOT be placed at the curb line earlier than 6:00 p.m. the evening before your scheduled trash collection day. All receptacles should be removed the cub line by 7:00 p.m. of collection.

Recycling: Please recycle. Recycling reduces the amount of trash taken to the incinerator or landfill and is mandated in the State of NJ. The Borough encourages all residents to recycle and has entered into an agreement with Recycle Bank. This program will allow all residents to earn cash and credits toward purchases at local businesses while recycling. Please call Public Works at 456-7785 for more information on the program. ITEMS TO BE RECYCLED AND/ OR SEPARATED:
Newspapers, Cardboard, Plastics (including soda bottles, household detergents, water/milk containers, etc. Glass bottles, & jars (all colors)), Tin, aluminum & bi-metallic cans (items rinsed of food products and caps removed). Recycled items are collected on normal trash day. Place ALL items in large, blue container supplied by recycle bank or in a container marked "RECYCLE".

VEGETATIVE WASTE
Vegetative Waste is collected every Monday (Except Holidays) April thru September and the First and Third Monday October thru March
LEAF COLLECTION:
October 1st to December 31st - Same as Trash Schedule. Collection on Regular Trash Day AS PER THIS NOTICE CLICK HERE!!!.
Leaves (mid-December to mid-October) Placed in plastic bags and tied or in trash cans with lids on 1st and 3rd Monday of each month.
All metals such as ranges, refrigerators (doors removed), washers, dryers, hot water heaters, etc. - Place at curb line. Collected 1st & 3rd Monday of each month.
Batteries & tires (cars, trucks, only) placed at curb line on 1st & 3rd Monday of each month.
Motor oil - Bring to Public Works Highway Garage between 7:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Mondays only.
Concrete, bricks, cinder blocks, etc. - Place large chunks at curb or in containers not heavier than 50 pounds on the 1st & 3rd Monday of each month.
RESIDENTS HAVING HOME REMODELING DONE SHOULD MAKE SURE THE CONTRACTOR PROVIDES A PRIVATE TRASH CONTAINER. The Public Works Department WILL NOT collect trash from private contractors doing home remodeling work.
NOTE: Grass clippings are no longer allowed to be dumped or incinerated. Homeowners should recycle their grass clippings by using them around trees, plants and bushes for mulch or leave on lawn.
