New Flood Map Information
FEMA and Gloucester County have formulated new Flood Maps for the Borough. The properties located in the area shaded by blue dots are in the 100 year flood plane. The properties located in the area shaded by black dots are located in the 500 year flood plane. If you are located within ANY area designated as a flood plan on these new maps, you will have until March to appeal the flood area designation. If you elect to purchase flood insurance you should do so before March 2009 as the rate could increase as much as $900 per year after March. Please be advised that the Borough has no authority or recommendation with regard to flood plane designations. Contact the Gloucester County Planning Department with any questions.
